To view files stored in a ProjectWise repository (also known as a datasource), you need to set up a connection to the repository.
NOTE: Before making a connection, make sure CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing) is configured on your Web Services Gateway server (WSG). Follow these instructions to learn more and configure CORS:
- From the Manage Connections page, click New Connection.
- In the Create New Connection dialog that opens, enter a name for your connection in the Connection Name field.
- In the Server Url field, type in the server URL provided by Bentley Web Services Gateway. Check with your IT administrator for this URL.
- Click Get Datasource to connect to the server and get a list of available repositories.
- From the Datasource dropdown, select the desired repository.
- Enter your Username and Password in the appropriate fields.
- From the Work Area dropdown, select the desired Work Area.
- If you wish, you can provide a Description.
- Click Connect and the connection is created and the name and description of the connection display in the Manage Connections list.
When you create a connection, the name of the connection displays in the left pane of the ProjectWise Web Connections. To open the connected repository, select the name of the connection in the left pane.
